UroLift BPH Treatment in Bakersfield, California

Board-certified urologist Dr. Robert Waguespack provides treatment for enlarged prostate using the UroLift treatment system at his urology clinic in Bakersfield, CA. If you are interested in learning about this BPH treatment option, please call (661) 321-3303 to schedule a consultation.

How UroLift Works

During a simple in-office procedure, Dr. Waguespack will be able to use the UroLift Delivery Device to insert UroLift Implants around the prostate. These implants work to lift the prostate and pull the edges of the prostate away from the urethra, leaving it open for improved urinary flow.

Benefits of the UroLift System

UroLift possesses many advantages over traditional treatment methods, the primary being that no cuts or sutures are required with UroLift. A local anesthetic is typically all that patients need during their insertion procedure, and they can often return home soon after they are treated for BPH. Results of UroLift are also long lasting. No maintenance is needed, which gives patients the ability to quickly return to their regular activities with renewed control over their urinary system.

Is UroLift Right for You?

If your BPH has worsened to a point where it affects your daily life and overall quality of life, it may be time to consider treatment. An assessment known as the International Prostate System Score is often used to determine the severity of an individual’s BPH symptoms. Take the assessment. If you are looking to take action to treat your BPH, or would like to get more information about the UroLift System, please contact Dr. Waguespack to schedule an appointment.
